De kettingreactie die op 8 juli door Leeuwarden raasde bestond uit maar liefst 47 culturele en sociale projecten, zogenaamde ‘schakels’. Niet eerder werkten de makers van deze projecten samen, aan zoiets groots. Met het vertellen van verhalen en het laten slagen van 8ste dag als motivatie, wisten mensen met verschillende achtergronden en levensstijlen elkaar makkelijker te vinden.
