Straat vol gapers

Een heuse gaapstraat. Waar je ook kijkt, overal gapende mensen. Naast je, dichtbij, verder weg, op foto’s achter de ramen van de huizen. Probeer dan maar eens zelf niet te gapen.

Waarom gapen mensen? Is het een teken van vermoeidheid, verveling, een uitnodiging tot seks, een sociaal fenomeen waarbij we onze empathie tonen? Studenten Beeldende Kunst en Vormgeving (NHLStenden) hebben ‘gapen’ als uitgangspunt genomen voor een community-art project tijdens 8ste dag. Ze maken foto’s van gapende buurtbewoners en veroorzaken samen de kettingreactie op 8 juli.
